The Charlotte Hornets have traded away each of LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges in the past calendar week, and in doing so, have opened up a variety of pathways to get deals done with players either via free agency or in the trade market.
One under-discussed idea that Charlotte has access now, thanks to the LaMelo Ball trade, is the possibility to bring in a free agent via sign-and-trade.
But who could the Hornets potentially target this summer that would actually be worth it - especially in a free agency period that has been decreasing in importance over the past several years?
