Miles Bridges Has Been Traded From The Hornets. What's Next?
I answered the biggest questions left about the ongoing Hornets offseason.
The Charlotte Hornets have finally traded Miles Bridges after multiple years of speculation.
Charlotte sent the Suns a first-round pick in 2029, which will be the least favorable between CLT/UTA/MIN/CLE. The Hornets also sent a second-round pick in 2029 that is projected to be towards the end of the round.
In return, the Hornets received Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neal, and an unprotected first-round pick in 2033.
All things considered, this was a strong deal for the Hornets. They turned what should be a late-first round pick in 2029 into one of the most valuable draft assets in the future, and will have seven years to trade the pick (or just use it in 2033).
For Miles Bridges, the writing seemed to be on the wall after LaMelo Ball was traded, though the Hornets were exploring Bridges’ market far before Ball’s.
In this piece, I’ll answer some of the biggest questions remaining for the Hornets following the Bridges trade, including whether Royce O’Neal & Grayson Allen will be staying in Charlotte, what the Hornets could do in free agency, and some interesting tidbits on Moussa Diabate.
