Coming into the night, the Charlotte Hornets had lost three games in six tries. Each of the losses were unique in their own right. One was a blowout loss in epic fashion, the next involved a benching and the third was a night where the team created great shots, but couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat.
Saturday night’s loss was the first one where it felt a lot like the games this team would lose last year. Bad shot selection, costly turnovers, giving up timely offensive rebounds. It wouldn’t matter how big the lead was, you knew the Hornets would not only give up the lead but lose the game as well.
