Can Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel fit together long-term?

The Hornets have an exciting, talented pair of wings. Do they make sense together long-term?

The Charlotte Hornets have made two top-5 picks over the past few seasons: Brandon Miller (2nd, 2023) and Kon Knueppel (4th, 2025).

Both players are good in their own right, they’re great at shooting, bring a lot of offensive firepower, and can each score 30 any given night.

Both Knueppel and Miller pair well with franchise point guard LaMelo Ball. Both bring some desirable aspects defensively, but neither are exceptionally good guarding perimeter players.

There’s a lot of overlap in the skills they bring. That can be a good thing, but when it comes to winning a playoff series, the overlap in negatives for both players might make it difficult for the Hornets to beat a well-rounded team.

Does that bode well for the Hornets’ long-term future, or should general manager Jeff Peterson look to change things up a bit on the wings?
